Almost 1,300 newly minted University of North Georgia (UNG) graduates walked in spring commencement ceremonies held May 3-4 at the Convocation Center on UNG's Dahlonega Campus

University of North Georgia announces Dean's Lists for summer 2018
The deans of each of UNG's five colleges - the College of Arts & Letters, the College of Education, the College of Health Sciences & Professions, the Mike Cottrell College of Business, and the College of Science & Mathematics - announced the names of those students who made their respective lists for summer 2018. Dean's List recognition is achieved by having at least a 3.5 grade point average, carrying 12 or more credit hours in one semester and having no grade lower than B.

Eastern Congratulates the Undergraduate Class of 2018
Eastern's annual graduation ceremony was held at the XL Center in Hartford on May 15, with more than 12,000 family members and friends cheering on their sons and daughters, brothers and sisters, as 1,105 undergraduates and 85 graduate students received their diplomas.

Five students from Eastern Connecticut State University went to the 2018 IMPACT National Student Engagement Conference in Dayton, Ohio, from March 1-4. The participants engaged in thoughtful discussion on topics ranging from mental health, to public schools, to community engagement.

Eastern Students Serve Community as CCE Student Leaders
A number of civic-minded students from Eastern Connecticut State University are serving the community this spring semester as Student Leaders with Eastern's Center for Community Engagement (CCE). A student leader is an experienced student volunteer who has been hired and trained by the CCE to recruit, train and manage volunteers, serve as a liaison with community partners, and plan and run service programs.

Three students from Eastern Connecticut State University presented at Qunnipiac University on Oct. 28 at the student conference for the Campus Compact of Southern New England. Accompanied by Sociology Professor Nicolas Simon, the Eastern group presented on the topic of engaging first-generation and underserved students in community service.

Monroe College Conferred Degrees on 2,800 Students Representing 68 Countries at 84th Annual Commencement
Monroe College, a national leader in educating urban and international students, held its 84th Annual Commencement on Tuesday, June 7, 2017 at the Theater at Madison Square Garden. New York City Council Member Annabel Palma and New York State Assemblymember Michael Blake gave commencement addresses. Two separate ceremonies were held to accommodate the families and friends of the 2,800 students receiving Associate, Bachelor's or Master's degrees and professional certificates.
